To start with, the first thing that you might want to decide on is the color of the room. If you want a room that’s stimulating and provides energy, you can opt for shade of orange in your office space. This can bring about an energetic atmosphere. If you’re one who works well when relaxed, a shade o light blue or green can give you that effect. However, if you find colors distracting, you can always opt for neutral colors like gray.

Next is the furniture. Of course for any home office, a desk is really a must. You can have your computer placed on top of it, while having space to do your paper works. Find an ergonomic desk that allows you to work without putting much strain on your body. Drawers, shelves and cabinets are also fine additions to your office space, especially when you’re handling papers and other items. You can easily organize them if you have the proper storage areas for it. You can also add a couch or a sofa in your office space, as well as chairs. This is a must, especially if you’re going to be entertaining or holding meetings with clients in your home office.
